Dr. Maurer is an international partner at Marccus Partners. He is the co-head of our Corporate / M&A practice in Paris and the head of our representative office in London. A triple qualified German, French and US lawyer, he has a dual bar admission as Rechtsanwalt in Frankfurt and as Avocat à la Cour in Paris as well as European registration in London.
Dr. Maurer has substantial prime transactional experience in the area of international corporate finance. In particular, he has been involved in all aspects of domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and group reorganizations. His sector specific deal background covers, amongst others, automotive, telecoms, chemicals and pharmaceuticals as well as banks and financial services. Further, he has extensive expertise in antitrust matters, namely merger control. In recent years he has focused on private equity and venture capital investments throughout Europe. His clients include multinational corporations, banks, funds and other investors who he advises on a wide variety of corporate and finance transactions. He is also regularly involved as counsel or arbitrator in arbitration proceedings in his fields of expertise.
