Benjamin Bin Zhao

Benjamin Zhao focuses his practices mainly on investment and financing related businesses, including financial services, M&A, restructuring and tax optimization, private equity, outbound direct investment, and foreign direct investment. Many of his clients are renowned enterprises, with whom Mr. Zhao has been retaining a long-term cooperation through his reliable professional services.

Mr. Zhao has abundant experience in providing financing-related legal services for financial institutions as well as financial departments of enterprises. He has been providing legal advices for a member of KfW Banking Group for its lending business in China for years, acting as the legal signatory for all insurance products of a Sino-foreign insurance company for years, for the environment projects financed by the World Bank loans, and for the conversion of RMB loans into USD loans for an international cargo joint venture.

In addition, Mr. Zhao is also engaged in a number of M&A cases. His work includes helping domestic and overseas investors establish representative office, equity joint venture, contractual joint venture and wholly foreign owned enterprise in China, as well as providing answer and solution in legal sense with regard to land, premises construction, equipment purchase, technology import, tax, foreign exchange, product export, domestic distribution of product, intellectual property protection, labour issues, M&A etc. during the establishment and running of enterprises.
