Emmanuel Gougé has joined Marccus Partners in June 2011 as a partner, in charge of the IP/IT department.
He specializes in intellectual property law, both in contentious and transactional work. Being admitted in England & Wales and in France, Emmanuel has been involved in a range of multi-jurisdiction intellectual property matters, including litigation of electronics, pharmaceutical and chemical patents, as well as validity litigation, compulsory licenses, infringement and freedom to use opinions. This experience is complemented with Emmanuel’s domestic and international expertise in drafting and negotiating IP/IT agreements and technology transfer agreements. As part of his transactional practice, he is particularly involved in transfer of technology and licensing agreements.
Emmanuel started his intellectual property practice in 1994 with the French law firm CMS Francis Lefebvre in Brussels and in Paris and continued in 1997 with Bird & Bird in London, then in Paris. In 2004, he founded in Paris the law firm EGAvocats, dedicated to intellectual property and information technology, alongside German and French attorneys.
