Emmanuel Gougé, head of the IP/IT department of Marccus Partners, appointed as President of the Licensing Executive Society (L.E.S. France)
Emmanuel Gougé (42), partner and head of the IP/IT department of the international business law firm Marccus Partners has been appointed as President of the French group of the Licensing Executive Society (L.E.S. France).
He was vice-president of the French group of the Licensing Executive Society for the last two years and is now succeeding Alfred Chaouat, Vice-President Licensing of
Technicolor (formerly Thomson). The election took place on December 6th, 2011 during the L.E.S. General Assembly in Paris.
Having started his career with CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre in Brussels in 1997, Emmanuel Gougé worked with Bird & Bird in London and in Paris for several years. In2004 he founded the law firm EGAvocats, specialized in intellectual property and information technology. In June 2011, Emmanuel joined Marccus Partners in Paris as the partner in charge of the IP/IT department.
As an English Solicitor and French Avocat, Emmanuel has been involved in a range of multi-jurisdiction intellectual property matters and provides both transaction advice as well in litigation services with a particular expertise in cross-border patent litigation. As part of his transactional practice, he is well-known for his qualified cutting-edge knowledge in transfer of technology and licensing agreements.
