Development of the law firm Marccus Partners New IP / IT team joined the Paris office
The business law firm Marccus Partners is pleased to announce the arrival of Emmanuel Gougé who has joined the Paris office on June 1 as a partner to develop the IP/IT department within the group.
This addition permits Marccus Partners to expand its services in the domain of intellectual property and new technologies in order to offer its clients a veritable expertise in consulting and litigation of intellectual property matters as well as in technology transfer.
Holder of a post grade (DEA) in intellectual property (University Paris II Panthéon Assas), a French-German master in business law and graduated of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Eco-Fi), Paris, Emmanuel Gougé has been admitted to the Paris bar in 1994 and as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 1998.
He started his intellectual property practice in 1994 with the French law firm CMS Francis Lefebvre in Brussels and in Paris and continued in 1997 with Bird & Bird in London, then in Paris. In 2004, he founded the law firm EGAvocats in Paris, dedicated to intellectual property and information technology.
Emmanuel has extensive experience in consulting and litigation with a particular expertise in transnational patent litigation. Furthermore, he is recognized for his expertise in license contracts and technology transfer agreements, one of the subjects he speaks on regularly in conferences and courses.
Emmanuel is much involved in teaching (Ecole des Mines de Paris / HEC / Académie Européenne des Brevets) and is vice-president of the French group of the Licencing Executive Society.
He joins Marccus Partners together with Virginia de Freitas who has been working with him since 2005 as an associate attorney. She holds a Masters (DESS) in Industrial property and a post grade Diploma (DEA) in Business law (Université Paris II Panthéon Assas).
